CompTIA Security+ Training Course

Student will be introduced to the basic concepts of computer security. Understand the risks an organization faces and the steps needed to be taken in order to minimize those risks.

Student will be able to identify media and devices that facilitate communication,
Student will be able to define the Network products and applications, the process of reducing or eliminating weakness, securing services and an attempt to make the environment safer from attacks; they shall define the process to address business environment by evaluating physical security issues such as access controls, physical barriers, and biometric systems. Social engineering issues so that the systems are safe and operational.

Student will be able to list the different forms of cryptography and how they are used in the computer field; ways to protect private information from unauthorized access and exploitation. In addition they shall list the methods encryption is used today.

Student will be able to describe ways to prevent losses by threats and vulnerabilities and also make plans for recovering from the losses. They will list the key aspects of business continuity, vendor support, security policies and procedures, designing and maintaining security in the organization. Given two case histories of computer system security breach, they shall be able to identify the probable cause(s) and propose an appropriate solution in each case.

Student will be able to define the ways to develop sound security policies, practices and enforce them vigilantly, they also will be able to define the key elements of implementing, supporting and maintaining security efforts in an organization and the aspects of best practices and documentation and the laws to protect the stakeholders effectively.
