Enter the root user account; list, add, edit, delete and disable a user in the Linux terminal; share a file and a directory between users; create a Linux floppy drive and mount it from the Linux terminal; read from and copy a file to a floppy disk as specified; configure and mount a CD-ROM drive.

Verify available disk space; given a software package verify, install and remove it as specified; obtain required host information; confirm connectivity with ping; set up a default gateway; setup up the routed daemon; log into another machine once each with rlogin, rsh and putty and give a remote command; copy and transfer a file between machines as specified; add a local and a network printer, edit, test and remove each printer.

View NFS settings, add and delete an exported file system; add, mount and remove a remote NFS file system; select a mount and an NFS option for an exported system; configure a NFS client; setup the Samba service and connect a machine as a Samba client; configure a modem, launch and configure a browser; set up an email client to send and receive email and news in a Linux environment.
